In early 1997 Victoria + Albert launched a series of traditional freestanding tubs made from ENGLISHCAST, a rare volcanic limestone mixed with resin.  As a hugely strong, lightweight and highly insulated alternative to cast iron, it reinvented people's expectations of how a luxury tub should perform.  Since then Victoria + Albert have gone on to develop a design-leg series of contemporary models which has extended the boundaries of freestanding design.
